Qatar Airways has cancelled its flights to Miami in the United States on Saturday and Sunday in view of the “adverse weather conditions” in Florida, the national carrier said in a travel alert.
“QR 777 from Doha to Miami and QR 778 from Miami to Doha are cancelled for 9 and 10 September, due to adverse weather conditions,” the airline said.
Passengers holding tickets to or from Miami are advised to contact their local booking agent and to check the flight status tab on the Qatar Airways website for the latest updates.
The threat of an impact in Florida due to Hurricane Irma over the weekend “continues to increase,” the hurricane center reported.
As a Category 5 with sustained winds of 180 miles per hour, Irma now ranks among the most powerful hurricanes (as measured by wind speed) ever recorded.Last updated: September 07 2017 05:50 PM
