Qatar’s pavilion at the Expo Astana 2017, Kazakhstan, won the Best Exterior Design Award, winning the first place in a poll conducted by Exhibitor Magazine 2017. Qatar’s was among more than 100 pavilions in the world fair. A statement issued by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce said the pavilion was designed in a way that reflects the country’s heritage, culture and modernity. It presents a number of successful projects that Qatar has undertaken in the field of sustainable energy, as well as the country’s strategy in diversifying its energy sources in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
