German league side Wolfsburg has signed Belgium international striker Divock Origi from Liverpool on a year-long loan transfer. The Premier League club confirmed the clubs have reached a deal after the 22-year-old made just one appearance for the Reds this season under Jurgen Klopp.
Origi, who signed for the Reds from Lille in 2014 before spending a further year on loan with the French club, has scored 21 goals in 77 appearances for Liverpool. Origi will end up battling Germany veteran striker Mario Gomez to play up front in the Bundesliga for the 2015 German Cup winners.

Ivorian right back Aurier joins Tottenham from PSG
Tottenham Hotspur completed the signing of Ivory Coast right back Serge Aurier from French club Paris St Germain, the Premier League side said yesterday.
The deal for the 24-year-old, reported to be around 25mn euros ($30mn), had been in doubt because a criminal conviction had delayed Aurier’s work permit application.
The attack-minded Aurier will be a natural replacement for England right back Kyle Walker who Tottenham sold to Manchester City for 50mn pounds in July. “This is a huge and exciting opportunity at a massive football club and I am determined to prove myself,” Aurier, who was denied access to England last year when PSG played Arsenal in the Champions League, said on the Tottenham website.
Aurier began his career with French club Lens before moving to Toulouse in 2012. He signed for PSG in 2014, initially on loan, before making the permanent move in 2015. He went on to play 81 times for the Parisian club, winning two Ligue 1 titles and three French Cups. Aurier has been capped 40 times by Ivory Coast and played at the 2014 World Cup finals.
Tottenham have left their recruitment late this summer but have now signed three defenders in a week with centre back Davinson Sanchez arriving for a reported club record fee of 42mn pounds from Ajax and Juan Foyth from Estudiantes.

Arsenal's Lucas Perez loaned back to Deportivo
Spanish forward Lucas Perez returned to Deportivo la Coruna yesterday on a year-long loan deal from Arsenal, Deportivo confirmed.
Perez, 28, joined the Gunners from Deportivo for a reported fee of £17mn ($22mn) a year ago to the day.
Perez made just 21 appearances in his solo season in England, scoring seven goals and winning the FA Cup. However, he remains a local hero in Galicia after scoring 24 goals in 59 appearance for Deportivo between 2014 and 2016.
Perez is just the latest player to leave the Emirates in a frenzied end to the transfer window for Arsenal following Gabriel Paulista, Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Leipzig sign Kampl as cover for Liverpool-bound Keita
RB Leipzig announced yesterday the signing of Slovenia midfielder Kevin Kampl as a possible replacement for Guinea international Naby Keita who has agreed to join Liverpool for the 2018-19 season. The 27-year-old Kampl switches from Bayer Leverkusen for a reported fee of 20mn euros ($23.7mn).
His versatility as a defensive midfielder or winger means Kampl could potentially fill the playmaker role Keita will vacate when he leaves for Anfield at the end of the current season. Kampl has made 67 appearances in Germany’s top flight for former clubs Borussia Dortmund and Leverkusen since moving to the Bundesliga in 2015 from Leipzig’s sister club Red Bull Salzburg.
With the transfer window closing in Germany yesterday, Leverkusen wasted no time in signing Greek teenage defender Panagiotis Retsos from Olympiakos for a reported 17.5mn euros on a five-year contract.

Leipzig sign Kampl as cover for Liverpool-bound Keita
Dutch defender Marvin Zeegelaar signed for Premier League side Watford from Sporting Lisbon and resolved a problem for manager Marco Silva. The 27-year-old — who had been at Sporting Lisbon for just a season — signed a four year contract with the Hornets for an undisclosed fee.
Silva had been searching for a left-back as Jose Holebas’ ill discipline caught up with him again when the 33-year-old Greek international was sent off in their League Cup loss to Bristol City last week. Silva’s first target Kieran Gibbs opted to leave Arsenal for West Brom instead but the Portuguese handler returned to one of his former clubs to secure Zeegelaar — who has played in England before for Blackpool albeit briefly on loan — on the final day of the transfer window.

Crystal Palace agree £26mn fee for Liverpool’s Sakho
Crystal Palace were set to sign Mamadou Sakho last night after they agreed a fee of £26mn with Liverpool for the France defender. Palace saw a bid of an initial £22mn plus £3mn in add-ons rejected earlier this week, with Liverpool holding out for £30mn for the 27-year-old, who spent part of last season on loan at Selhurst Park.
Palace were linked with moves for a number of defenders on deadline day but Sakho was always their primary target. He is expected to sign a five-year deal and the former Paris Saint-Germain captain will have medical before completing his move to Selhurst Park. Palace were also closing in on the £9mn signing of Everton’s Oumar Niasse as they attempt to provide backup to the striker Christian Benteke.
