The Ministry of Municipality and Environment’s (MME) Agriculture Research Department, with the participation of the Agriculture Affairs Department, conducted yesterday morning a field training day on the drying of dates at Rawdat Al Faras Agriculture Research Station.
A number of MME officials, researchers and specialists in the field, farm owners and workers took part in the event. The participants were introduced to the best ways to dry dates and preserve them to maximise the benefits from their stock. 
Similarly, MME concluded on Thursday the first phase of the training programme on “the electronic inspection” with the participation of 170 food inspectors and controllers. The five-day programme was aimed at increasing the efficiency of the services presented to the public in the related fields.
