The new logo of Qatar’s premier football tournament was released yesterday at a press conference held at the Torch Doha. The logo has been designed by the Al Kass channel’s  creative team.
The tournament, previously known as the Qatar Stars League (QSL) has been rebranded as the QNB Stars League following the bank’s new six-year agreement to sponsor most of the football tournaments in Qatar.
QNB Stars League CEO Hani Ballan, marketing and communications director Hassan al-Kuwari, competitions director Ahmed al-Adsani, Al Kass’ Essa Ali al-Hitmi and QNB’s senior executive Salem al-Nuami were present at the press conference yesterday.
“Our partnership with the QNB is a very important one and will help in the development of football in Qatar,” Ballan said at the press conference. “
Our league is one of the most competitive in the region with teams of a very high quality,” he added.
Last week, a sponsorship agreement was signed by President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani and QNB Group CEO Ali Ahmed al-Kuwari. Ali Ahmed al-Kuwari said on the occasion: “We believe that QNB Group is aware of its national duty towards society, and there is no doubt that this continued support is the result of our understanding of this role, which is part of our commitment to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030.”
