The Medical Commission received about 400,000 visitors in the first half of 2017, according to a statement by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) yesterday.
The commission has been successful in reducing the waiting time of the visitors during this period from 23 minutes in 2016 to 18. The visitors’ satisfaction rate of the services at the centre has also increased from 67.2% in 2016 to 84.2% during the period. The commission had received about 770,000 visitors in 2016.
Dr Ibrahim al-Shaer, director of the Medical Commission, spoke of the keenness of the ministry on the continuous development of the Medical Commission, with expansion and opening of new units and great attention by qualified staff.    
“The Medical Commission has introduced the latest equipment, updating medical regulations and procedures. The second phase of the health information technology system was implemented, during which X-Rays were electronically linked from health centres with Medical Commission, in addition to the promotion and continuous improvement of information technology and health information systems,” he said.
