FM, Boris Johnson discuss Gulf crisis
HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani held a telephone conversation yesterday with UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. During the phone call, they discussed bilateral relations and means of boosting and developing them, as well as the developments of the Gulf crisis and a number of issues of mutual interest.

Attack on Kabul mosque condemned
Qatar has strongly condemned the armed attack on a mosque in the Afghan capital, Kabul, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries. In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons. The statement stressed Qatar’s total rejection of targeting places of worship and intimidating civilians. The ministry expressed its condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Afghanistan, and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
