HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah met  Russia’s Minister of Defence Sergey Shoygu in Moscow yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing bilateral co-operation in the military field between Qatar and Russia, particularly in the air defence.
They also reviewed the latest regional developments in the Middle East and other issues of mutual interest.
Talks during the meeting also covered aspects of co-operation between the two countries and the possibility of exchanging experiences and military training courses.
The two sides praised the distinguished relationship between the two friendly countries.
The Russian-Qatari relations are experiencing a significant development at all levels in the fields of economy, investment and culture, as well as military technical co-operation.

HE the Director-General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim al-Khulaifi held separate meetings with the ambassadors of Bangladesh and Ethiopia - Ashud Ahmed, and Mesganu Arga Moach, respectively, in Doha yesterday.
Talks covered issues of mutual concern.

Moldova exempts
Qatari citizens
from entry visa

An official source from the Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the government of Moldova has decided to exempt Qatari citizens from entry visas as of July 28, 2017. The source explained that the government of Moldova stipulated that the Qatari citizen must have a valid residence or visa issued by one of the European Union countries or the Schengen area, with the exception of the transit visa.

ties reviewed

Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia Miyegombo Enkhbold has received a written message from HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi, pertaining to bilateral relations. The message was handed by Qatar’s non-resident ambassador to Mongolia Sultan bin Salmeen al-Mansouri, during a meeting with the chairman of the Mongolian parliament in Ulan Bator yesterday.
