His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met yesterday at his office at the Emiri Diwan with Senior Adviser to the US President, Jared Kushner; assistant to the President and Special Representative for International Negotiations, Jason Greenblatt; Deputy National Security Adviser, Dina Powell; and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Gulf Affairs, Tim Lenderking.
The meeting reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest, including the peace process in the Middle East, the improvement of the humanitarian situation and living conditions in Gaza Strip, and the efforts to establish peace and its importance in combating terrorism and extremism.
The meeting reaffirmed commitment to strengthening and developing the close ties of co-operation and friendship between Qatar and the United States in various fields. — QNA
