“This is a work of art primarily expressing the participants who contributed to the initiative, whether they are artists or members of the Qatari community simply answering the question ‘What does Qatar mean to you?’” said Radi al-Hajiri, one of the artists who led the compilation of the piece.
He noted that the common thread through all of the drawings submitted was love.
“So we compiled this collage, which showcases our founder’s home and the symbolic falcon. The message this piece conveys is that love is the source of our strength, and while we may be doves of peace we are also falcons protecting our country and the roots that our nation is founded on,” al-Hajiri added.
The collage will be on display at the Doha Festival City, as well as other locations around Qatar, including various museums.
