Quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks offense looked very sharp in the first half and the Seahawks defeated the Minnesota Vikings 20-13 Friday night at CenturyLink Field.
Wilson completed 13-of-18 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks game. Wilson, who played the first half, finished with a passer rating of 147.0. Wilson threw touchdown passes to wide receiver Kasen Williams, who is one of the breakout players during training camp, and running back Mike Davis.
The offensive line also performed well, but suffered what is likely is major blow when George Fant suffered what look to be a major injury to his right leg in the second quarter. Fant’s leg rolled only by centre Justin Britt.
Fant’s leg was placed in an air cast and he was carted off the field midway through the quarter. Backup Rees Odhiambo is likely to replace Fant, but Seattle could also slide Luke Joeckel over from left guard.
The Seattle Seahawks offense looked very good on their opening drive. Going on an 11-play, 77-yard drive for a touchdown. The highlight was a spectacular one-handed catch by wide receiver Kasen Williams for a 27-yard gain. Williams has been impressive in the preseason, catching six passes for 128 yards and a touchdown in the first two preseason games.
