Dozens of people have died and an estimated 5mn affected as a fresh wave of floods and landslides triggered by monsoon rains ravaged northern and eastern India.
At least 46 people died after a massive landslide hit two buses and other vehicles in the northern hill state of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, local official Ashish Sharma said.
Rescue work was continuing on Monday and the death toll could increase.
In the north-eastern state of Assam, a second wave of floods within a month has killed 15 people over the last four days, disaster services official Kripal Mazumdar said from the state capital Guwahati.
Nearly 2.3mn people have been displaced, stranded or suffered damage to crops and property, he said.
Another 2 million people were affected and 10 killed in the eastern state of Bihar bordering Nepal, as incessant rains flooded several districts, the IANS news agency reported.
Floods had claimed three more lives and affected 500,000 people in the adjoining state of West Bengal, broadcaster NDTV reported.
In the northern state of Uttarakhand, four people were killed and 10 others including six soldiers went missing in floods in the Pithoragarh district, an IANS report said.
More rain has been forecast in the flood-hit areas over the next few days and authorities had said they had requisitioned help from the army.
India's monsoon season between June and September often sees heavy rains that cause immense destruction.
Overall, an estimated 800 people have died in floods and rain-related incidents across India since the beginning of the monsoon season in early June.
