Qatar shares close lower as index drops 0.71%

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 66.35 points (0.71%) when the bourse closed trading at 9,307.14 points on Wednesday.
The volume of shares traded increased to 7,371,119 from 5,199,938 on Tuesday and the value of shares increased to QR189,095,357.85 from QR162,860,306.89 on Tuesday.
Of the 44 companies listed on QSE, 40 companies' shares were traded on Wednesday. While nine companies gained, 31 closed lower.
Indices of all sectors ended in the red on Wednesday. QSE Total Return Index lost 0.71% to 15,607.53 points, while QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index declined 0.47% to 3.711.77 points and QSE All Share Index fell 10.79% to 2,653.08 points.
