The Zakat Fund at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs provided over QR11mn worth of assistance to 2,073 needy families in the country last month. The Zakat Fund said that the aid comes within the framework of its permanent assistance provided on a monthly basis and intermittent assistance which is provided for specific needs.
