Oryx Rotana Doha, in collaboration with the Centre of Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan), has hosted a breakfast for 30 guests at the hotel to spend some time with elderly people and show the importance of supporting local communities.
Lana Jwainat, director of marketing and communications at Oryx Rotana Doha, said: “This visit comes in the context of strengthening our relationship with the surrounding community, as we are an integral part of it.”
“Today, we share with the elderly their beautiful moments and show our appreciation and care for the older generation,” the official added.
The event is part of Oryx Rotana’s initiatives to “help the local community and create links of compassion and affection while enjoying lunch and smiles on the faces of older participants”, according to a press statement.
“This visit brought joy to the hearts of senior citizens who are, most importantly, willing to visit us again. We at Oryx Rotana are happy to continue supporting the local community and take care of such initiatives in different ways,” Jwainat added.
The members of Ehsan expressed satisfaction and happiness at the visit, which they considered a “family visit”.
“The aim of the visit was to share the family atmosphere and raise awareness among the community,” the statement added.
