Kirat Yakthung Chumlung-Qatar (KYC) recently celebrated Sisekpa Tangnaa, one of the traditional festivals of the Limbu community in Nepal. Sisekpa Tangnaa is generally celebrated in July to mark the monsoon season in hopes for a good harvest. During the programme, artists performed dhan nach – a monsoon folk dance. The artistes also performed chandi nach. KYC felicitated Limbu community leaders Shyam Suhang, Hukpa Chongbang, Bom Chemjong, and Bhim Neyong for their relentless contributions in promotion of the Limbu culture and art in Qatar. A large number of people attended.
