Belgium’s ambassador to Qatar Christophe Payot has lauded the continuous efforts of Katara – the Cultural Village Foundation to partner with various embassies in Doha with the objective of shedding light on various cultures and civilisations.
Payot met with Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti yesterday to present a proposal on holding an exhibition at Katara in November.
The event will highlight different elements from the history of Belgian comics.
Dr al-Sulaiti presented a memento to the Belgian envoy on the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Doha.
Meanwhile, Dr al-Sulaiti also met with Ethiopian ambassador Mesganu Arga Moach with the aim of enhancing cultural ties between the countries.
This includes co-operation among cultural entities in the respective countries in addition to enhancing co-operation between Katara and cultural organisations in Ethiopia.
The ambassador thanked Katara for its keenness to host various activities and events throughout the year.
