The Turkish frigate TCG GOKOVA has arrived in Hamad Port to join the Turkish forces present in the country and participate in naval exercises and joint military exercises between the two countries, the Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence has announced.
The Directorate of Guidance said that the exercises will be held in the areas of the Hamad Port, the Doha Naval base and Qatari territorial waters between the Qatari Emiri Navy and its Turkish counterpart, with the participation of the most modern frigate in the Turkish Armed Forces, which has a crew of 214.
The exercises come within the framework of joint military co-operation between Qatar and Turkey to combat terrorism and violent extremism.
