Al Shaqab Racing’s Lwsail won the Jebel Ali Racecourse Za’abeel International Stakes (Gr1 PA) very easily yesterday. He won from pillar to post, passing the post, ahead of Barnamaj and Macallan.
“It was the race I had aimed for him this year. He had won on his debuts at Bordeaux, over 1,400m. But afterwards, on longer distances, he had a tendency to tire himself because he is a very keen horse. He stayed on a good second place at Dax behind the very good mare Mabrooka. We will try and find him other races on this kind of distance, but he can hold the mile,” Lwsail’s trainer Thomas Fourcy said.
