HE the Minister of Transport and Communications, Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti, has met with the Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Dr Fang Liu, in Montreal. Their talks dealt with Qatar’s demands to obtain its ‘Right to Innocent Passage’ through international air routes in accordance with the principles of international law and conventions. They also dealt with refuting the claims of the four siege countries. ICAO will hold a ministerial level session tomorrow at which Qatar will present its technical file and the responses to the siege countries. During the meeting, a copy of Qatar’s request to obtain its Flight Information Region (FIR) was delivered. The minister appreciated ICAO for holding the session at this critical time.
