Commercial Bank has announced the launch of its ‘Young Bankers Summer Internship Programme’, focusing on the bank’s digital banking channels.
The internship programme is now into its fourth consecutive year and is designed for children of Commercial Bank customers between the ages of 13 and 17. The programme will run until August 31 with students placed in two batches.
Commercial Bank invited all customers via the bank’s social media channels to enrol their children into the internship programme and received 250 applications.
The internship programme will help the students to develop business skills and gain real life work experience in a customer-facing environment under the guidance of Commercial Bank branch staff.
To begin the internship programme, the young bankers underwent an orientation session at the bank’s Al Wakrah Avenue branch auditorium and are then placed within bank’s 29 branch network where they are tasked with explaining and encouraging the use of a variety of digital banking channels available to bank customers.
