HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani visited the National Museum of Qatar yesterday to inspect the project’s progress.
The Prime Minister was welcomed by HE the Chairperson of Qatar Museums (QM) Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and a number of senior Qatar Museum officials.
During the tour, Qatar Museums officials presented a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister on the project’s progress, its various facilities, collections and historical pieces that it will have as well as the modern presentation media supported by the latest technology, and other details that will make the museum a spectacular space that reflects Qatar’s history and presents it in the best possible fashion.
The National Museum of Qatar is one of the most ambitious cultural projects in Qatar affirming the country’s continued commitment to becoming a global cultural centre.
A number of Qatari personnel of different specialisations are supervising the project, which will help Qatar in its path towards a diversified knowledge-based economy in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
