The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has said it will implement a traffic diversion at Al Shefallahiya Interchange on Al Shamal Road to complete junction upgrade work as part of the North Road Corridor Enhancement project.
To facilitate the reconstruction, Al Shefallahiya Interchange, located between the southern Umm Garn Interchange and northern Al Khor Interchange, will be closed for 39 days - from tomorrow until September 2, Ashghal has said in a press statement.
During the detour planned in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, motorists can use the neighbouring Umm Garn and Al Khor interchanges in place of Al Shefallahiya Interchange.
Residents of the area may use the temporary approaches as well, as shown on the map, to access and exit Al Shamal Road.
Ashghal has requested motorists to abide by traffic instructions and the newly installed signage.
