The sixth batch of Turkish troops has arrived in Qatar, the Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence announced.
The directorate said that following the arrival of this reinforcing batch and joining the Turkish forces currently in Doha, they have started their joint tasks with the Qatari armed forces as part of the joint military cooperation between the State of Qatar and the sisterly Republic of Turkey and to activate the terms of the defence agreements between the two countries.
The defence cooperation between Doha and Ankara comes within the framework of the joint defence vision to support efforts to combat terrorism and extremism and to maintain security and stability in the region.
The Turkish armed forces have been carrying out their training missions since they first arrived in Doha on June 19.
