His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held evening a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the phone call, they discussed the latest developments related to the Gulf crisis.
Both sides stressed the need to resolve the crisis through diplomatic means and through direct dialogue between all sides.
They also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to develop and strengthen them, especially in the fields of energy and investment, in a way that enhances the two friendly countries' mutual interests.
