Qatar’s Minister of Transport and Communications HE Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti met yesterday with Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Dr Fang Liu at the Organisation headquarters in Montreal. The United Nations aviation agency will hold a special hearing next Friday on Qatar’s request to reopen Gulf airspace that was closed to its flights following a major diplomatic dispute with other Arab states, the transport minister said yesterday.
