UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid bin Raad Zeid al-Hussein have received two messages related to the implications of the illegal siege of Qatar from HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani.
The messages were handed over by Qatar's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif al-Thani, during meetings with them.
She conveyed Qatar's appreciation for their clear position on the matter and to the statements they made in that regard. These statements conveyed their alarm at the negative consequences the siege has had on humanitarian conditions and called for supporting the mediation efforts of Kuwait.
