Ooredoo volunteers recently distributed Iftar boxes to workers and people on their way home from work at a petrol station in Umm Ghuwailina.
The food packages, which contained a drink, fruit, and a sandwich, were distributed to hundreds of workers during the weekend.
The Ooredoo volunteers, who represented business units from across the company, distributed the boxes to the workers, and then broke their fast with them as part of the company’s ongoing Hand-in-Hand Ramadan campaign.
Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director, PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo said: “We’re proud to have shared a meal with the workers who have helped build Qatar. Giving back to those who are in need is a huge part of the spirit of Ramadan and we can’t wait to continue this spirit as the holy month comes to an end and the festivities of Eid begin.”
Ooredoo still has a host of important community initiatives planned this holy month. Customers can follow Ooredoo’s Ramadan Hand-in-Hand campaign via its Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter page and the hashtag #ShareAMoment.
