Dear Sir,
The executive committee of Alyatim Education Endowment Fund, a Ugandan   organisation supervising and following up on education of orphans in Uganda, has sent a letter to Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The purpose of the letter was three fold: to thank the Ugandan president for maintaining close ties with the State of Qatar; to ask the president to use his good relations with the GCC leaders to support and, if possible, contribute to the effort of reconciliation led by HH the Emir of Qatar; and to express solidarity with the leaders and the people of Qatar.
The team which delivered the letter was headed by Janat Nassali the vice-chairperson of the organisation.
Also, on June 16, some 150 orphans representing about 2,000 orphans sponsored by the people of Qatar in Uganda, gathered in Kampala where they invited local mediapersons to express their solidarity with the children and the people and the leadership of Qatar.
The orphans said it would be detrimental to their welfare if the tensions among the GCC member countries were not resolved quickly. One of them pointed out that remittances from the people of Qatar have been delayed following the current crisis and the situation would deteriorate if the dispute escalates further.
Alyatim organisation is planning to submit a letter of support to HH the Emir of Qatar through the ambassador of Qatar to both Kenya and Uganda, based in Nairobi.

Respect Qatar’s foreign policy
Dear Sir,

I would like to express my warm and deep sympathy to the respectful Qatari nation during this tough time. As a Muslim I would like to wish Qatar and the people of Qatar a peaceful life.
Also, I do hope that Qatar’s Arab neighbours respect Doha’s policies and start talks instead of imposing sanctions and launching aggressive measures.
As a Muslim, my personal offer to Qatar is a free of charge work and service in a required field in your community for six months at least.
I do hope the current crisis would lead to a real change in the GCC, based on respect for neighbours and real fraternity.
I wish Qatar and HH the Emir all the best.

Wrong to impose
blockade
Dear Sir,

When the Islamic world is observing the holy month of Ramadan, it is wrong for a group of Muslim countries to blockade Qatar and to impose an embargo on the people of Qatar. They should stop this wrong measure as soon as possible and the people of Qatar must not be punished unjustly. Qatar is not alone; I, this time, dedicate my latest video “new generation” for Qatar which I performed for peace in the world.
