Vodafone Qatar has launched permanent offers for retired customers in partnership with the National Retirement Authority. The telecommunications provider said the initiative comes under the umbrella of ‘Vodafone for All.’
Vodafone offers retired customers with a valid military, civil, or employee card from the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority a 50% discount on Vodafone’s Red postpaid plans.
Retired customers will also enjoy the new services available on Vodafone’s Red plans. These include the ability to use ‘in-plan’ data in 20 countries where Vodafone is present at no extra charge, network name personalisation - a world’s first, and Bill Manager, which prevents customers from bill shock from any data or roaming usage.
Mohamed al-Yami, director of external affairs at Vodafone Qatar, said, “It is part of our responsibility to contribute by making mobile technology and the power of telecommunications more accessible for everyone.”
Mohamed al-Malki, public relations and communication manager at the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), underlined the importance of providing telecom and IT solutions for retirees at affordable prices through the ‘Khusomat’
programme.
Al-Malki explained that first phase of the programme covered 70 companies. Also, the GRSIA is currently in discussion with several national companies to reinforce its efforts in meeting the needs and aspirations of the retirees.
