Qatar condemns London attacks

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday sent cables of condolences to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Theresa May on the victims of the two terrorist attacks in downtown London. HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also sent a similar cable of condolences to Prime Minister May. They wished the injured speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation of the London attacks which resulted in a number of dead and wounded.
In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of their source and whatever their motives and causes.
The statement voiced Qatar’s rejection of criminal acts that terrorise the innocent and contravene human values and principles.
