HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has sent a cable of congratulations to the Emir of Kuwait on the occasion of Kuwait being elected as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the years 2018 and 2019, in the elections held by the United Nations General Assembly.

Funded by Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), a programme of food assistance and Ramadan Iftar has been launched at the Al-Sadagah Hospital in the southern Yemeni province of Aden, as part of Qatar’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Executive Director of Development Projects at QFFD Mesfer al-Shahwani said that the project came within the framework of Qatar’s continuous efforts to support the Yemeni people in alleviating the impact of the crisis raging in the country.
Aden is one of the most important provinces for which Qatar has allocated a number of relief and development projects, he added.
General Supervisor of the Food Aid Programme and Emergency Health Projects at Qatar Charity Al Soqatri told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the emergency relief project which was launched on Friday in Aden will cover various governorates in Yemen and will includes the provision of emergency food aid through the distribution of thousands of ready meals and food baskets.
