Qatar Charity launched an orphanage in Bangladesh, as part of its humanitarian efforts there.
The organisation revealed, the social welfare centre is contains six fully furnished floors, with a capacity of 500 orphans, as well as a school that accommodates 1,000 students.
Qatar’s ambassador in Dhaka Ahmed bin Mohamed al-Dehaimi said the inauguration of the centre is a proud addition to the charity work funded by Qatari donors.
The ambassador highlighted the importance of the centre, which provides ample accommodation to orphans and a school that builds their knowledge.
He added that the embassy is keen on providing all needed facilities to serve work carried out by Qatar Charity in Bangladesh, saying that Qatar and Bangladesh share strong relations.
Adviser to Qatar Charity’s Chief Executive Officer, Ali Rashid al-Mohannadi, said the opening of the centre is a great addition to the humanitarian contributions made by the people of Qatar to Bangladesh.
It is one of the biggest social welfare centres that provides full sponsorship to the orphans, providing they with basic requirements and the school aids them into the future.
