In order to avoid traffic congestion at peak times and for the safety of road users including pedestrians and drivers during the holy month of Ramadan, the General Directorate of Traffic has announced restrictions on the movement of trucks during the days of Ramadan.

Trucks will not be allowed in the peak hours from 8am to 9.30 am and between 1.30pm and 3pm. The restrictions are also applicable between 5.30pm and midnight.

The Traffic Department has urged the truck drivers to abide by the regulations.
