Strong winds are expected across the country today along with poor visibility due to dust, the Qatar Met department has said.
Offshore areas, too, are likely to see strong winds and high seas today, according to the weather report.
The detailed forecast says the wind (northwesterly) speed will be 15-25 knots in inshore areas, going up to 35 knots in some places.
Slight to blowing dust is likely in some of these areas at times, and visibility may drop to 2km or less occasionally.
Offshore, the wind (northwesterly) speed will be 18-28 knots, reaching a high of 35 knots in some places.
Dusty conditions and some clouds have also been forecast in these areas, while the sea level may rise to 12ft at times.
A maximum temperature of 41C is expected today in Doha, Mesaieed and Wakrah, followed by 40C in Al Khor.
Yesterday, the maximum was 43C in the Qatar University area, Al Rayyan, Batna and Turayna, while in Doha it was 42C.
