The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Almana Motors Company, has announced the recall of Peugeot 2008, 208 and 301 models of 2013-2015 because the fuel pump in the fuel tank may develop a crack over time.
The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The MEC will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

Customs Authority holds regional workshop on trade agreement
The General Authority of Customs has concluded a regional workshop on the Trade Facilitation Agreement, held with the participation of experts from the World Customs Organisation and the Regional Office for Capacity Building, and representatives of the customs of Arab countries. The workshop aimed at enhancing the expertise of the 29 participants in the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement and the Mercator Programme, especially after the agreement came into force with the ratification of two-thirds of the WTO members last February. The workshop introduced the latest developments regarding the agreement, especially as the senior and middle administrations are responsible for developing and implementing customs policies and drafting customs procedures related to the implementation of development projects. The workshop discussed several main axes aimed at strengthening the current national plans to implement the terms of the agreement.

Qatar attends 32nd session of Arab Customs Union in Cairo

Qatar took part in the 32nd session of the Arab Customs Union which kicked off at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo yesterday, represented by a delegation from the General Authority of Customs.
The two-day meeting aims at discussing the outcome of the Arab unified customs tariff committee meetings, and the importance of standardising the customs tariff to facilitate the trade exchange between the Arab countries.
