The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has said it will implement a limited traffic diversion on Al Shamal Road from tomorrow.
As part of this, 500m of the lane adjacent to the median while heading north under the Izghawa Interchange will be closed.
The traffic diversion, which is being implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will begin tomorrow and continue for 15 days.
In a press statement, Ashghal said the diversion would facilitate the repair and installation of the treated sewage effluent line along the median, as part of the Al Shamal Road improvement works.
The traffic flow on Al Shamal Road will not be affected by this diversion, the authority has said, and the remaining three lanes on Al Shamal Road will be open to traffic as normal.
Ashghal has requested motorists to abide by traffic instructions, the newly installed signage and speed limit to ensure the safety of road users.
