Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and Al Qamra Holding Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for building strategic ties and growing collaborative capabilities in the areas of education, technology, innovation, and research.
The MoU promotes co-operation between the leading Qatari business conglomerate and the multidisciplinary research university, fostering close collaboration between academia and industry that is driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and innovating thinking.
The agreement was signed by HBKU president Dr Ahmad M Hasnah and Al Qamra Holding Group chairman Hamad Saleh al-Qamra. With expertise across numerous industries such as education, technology healthcare and beyond, Al Qamra Holding Group will work closely with HBKU students to grow academic, professional, and research opportunities at the University.
The relationship between the two partners establishes a framework for collaboration in areas of science and research, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, in turn building a dynamic ecosystem that facilitates new ideas in technology, entrepreneurship and education.
The MoU between HBKU and Al Qamra Holding Group will expand the professional prospects for students graduating from the University, offering unique opportunities for engagement between academics and researchers at HBKU and professionals from the myriad of Al Qamra’s business operations and entrepreneurial ventures.
