Stable weather is expected to continue over the weekend, accompanied by a drop in temperature to near the mid-30C levels due to easterly winds, the Qatar Met department said in a tweet on Thursday.
Different parts of the country have experienced temperatures of 40C and above over the past few days.
The maximum temperature recorded on Thursday was 41C in Turayna (southern Qatar), followed by 40C in the Qatar University area, Al Rayyan, Sheehaniya, Mesaieed, Batna and Karana, and 39C in Doha and other places.
While hot daytime conditions are expected again on Friday, the maximum temperature is likely to drop marginally to 39C in Mesaieed, Wakrah and Al Khor, and 37C in Doha.
Some clouds are likely and it will be hazy later. Offshore, slightly dusty conditions are expected at times along with clouds.
