A total of 85 Indian expatriates have died so far in Qatar this year, the Indian embassy's monthly community house was informed on Thursday.
The house was also told 191 Indians are in the Central Prison and 116, awaiting to be deported, are housed at the Criminal Evidence and Investigation Department's Deportation Centre. 
A total of 19 complaints were received during the four monthly community houses this year and eight have been resolved while the embassy is following up the other cases.
The embassy issued 31 emergency certificates this month to Indian nationals for their repatriation. The mission also issued 12 air tickets to Indians in distress for their return to their home country.
The Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), which is supporting the efforts of the embassy and helping Indian workers through various welfare measures at regular intervals, recently helped in getting health cards for 200 Indian fishermen, it was informed on Thursday.
The forum also arranged groceries to eight Indian nationals in distress.
Ambassador P Kumaran, deputy chief of mission R K Singh and other embassy officials met all the complainants, discussed their problems in detail and assured them that the embassy would follow up their cases with the concerned authorities in the government of Qatar.
Davis Edakalathur, president, ICBF, also participated in the proceedings.
