Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading communications company, will be the official telecom sponsor of Aspire’s 1st International Kite Festival in the country, it was announced.
The event, organised by Aspire Zone Foundation, will take place at Aspire Park from today to April 29. It will feature a host of professional international kite flyers from 13 countries, as well as kite workshops, roaming entertainers, food kiosks, and F1 simulators, among others.
“Ooredoo is proud to sponsor such a family friendly event and we encourage everyone to head along and check out the performers and what’s on offer,” Ooredoo Qatar Community & Public Relations director Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi said.
This sponsorship agreement will also see Ooredoo ensure its award-winning Supernet is available at Aspire Park for all media and visitors.
On top of the activities, Aspire’s 1st International Kite Festival will hold three contests offering a range of prizes. The first is for school children, asking them to design a kite, the second a photography contest for everyone attending the event and the third a children’s drawing contest aimed to inspire people to attend.
