The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that it will implement a temporary closure on a part of Al Amir Street in Al Khor.
The closure, which will come into effect this evening and continue for 35 days, is being carried out in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
The closure will cover a distance of 350m on the two lanes heading from the intersection between Ras Al Qirma Street and Al Amir Street towards Al Khor Coastal Road.
During this period, traffic in the closed section of Al Amir Street will be directed to a service road running parallel to the closed road, as shown on the attached map.
The temporary diversion is required to enable work on laying ‘sewer rising mains’ as part of the ‘design, build, operate and maintain’ project pertaining to the Al Thakhira sewage treatment works, transfer pumping station and associated pipelines, Ashghal has said in a press statement, requesting all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow diversion signs to ensure their safety.
