Leading jeweller Malabar Gold & Diamonds has expanded its network with the inauguration of a new showroom in Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu. This is the company’s 175th showroom overall and 10th in Tamil Nadu. The outlet at Avvai Shanmughi Salai, Meenakshipuram, was inaugurated by actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently in the presence of M P Ahammed, chairman of Malabar Group; O Asher, managing director – India operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds; guests and well-wishers. The store displays the exclusive range of Malabar Gold & Diamonds sub-brands: Mine – diamond, Era – uncut diamond, Precia – gem, Divine – Indian heritage, Ethnix – handcrafted designer jewellery, Hi – casual and Starlet – for kids. Apart from gold and diamonds, there is also a stock of silver jewellery and articles in the showroom. “The state of Tamil Nadu has a rich jewellery tradition dating back to centuries. Malabar Gold & Diamonds conducts in-depth analysis of the jewellery tradition of a particular region before setting up a business – precisely why we could successfully expand the network to different regions, each with its unique cultural, religious and social fabric,” said Ahammed.
