Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha has partnered with Sanad Projects and Qatar Orphan Foundation – Dhreima to hold a special event for children.
Dhreima, which means “a desert flower that grows in a difficult atmosphere”, is a public organisation with an independent legal personality that empowers orphans to be proud of who they are.
As part of the event, the children arrived at Kempinski Playroom, which featured a host of interactive and educational activities arranged by Sanad Projects. Also, there were treats for them to enjoy, specially created by Marsa Malaz Kempinski’s culinary team.
The children were given arts and crafts activities to get involved in during the afternoon. The fun cupcake section gave them the opportunity to combine their creative and culinary attributes, ultimately improving their developing motor skills.
Sanad has been built on the idea that the youth of Qatar have a passionate interest in the well-being of their community and those in need. Since the opening in 2010, they have been striving to support the nation through charity and community work.
Marsa Malaz Kempinski has been “humbled to partner with such organisations”, giving the children a fun and interactive space where they can enjoy an educational afternoon, according to a statement.
Wissam Suleiman, general manager, Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha, said: “It is our absolute pleasure to not just give back to the community, but also to those in need. A small gesture goes a long way and we look forward to involving ourselves in more projects such as this in the future.”
A number of activities were available for children.
