Turkish home furniture makers Istikbal, which has been operating a store in Doha for about a decade, is hopeful that their brand would continue to have a good share in the region’s home furniture segment.
Speaking to Gulf Times at the company’s pavilion at the Expo Turkey by Qatar 2017, which concluded yesterday, executive manager Hamed El-Husseiny said that Istikbal’ furniture have been well received among the loyal clientele in Qatar as in the other Gulf States, and every year a minimum 10% growth is recorded in the brand’s overall business in the country.
“The furniture from Istikbal is completely manufactured in the company’s manufacturing
outlet in Turkey,” he said.
Istikbal’s workforce is almost 27,000-strong and its craftsmen could produce almost 10,000 units of mattresses daily.
“The Turkish expertise in making home furniture is at its best in our products and this is why Istikbal is present in more than 110 countries,” El-Husseiny said while hoping that Istikbal would be able to open more outlets in Qatar in coming years as there is enormous goodwill among the residents for the company’s furniture.
