Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB), the sole agents of Toyota vehicles in Qatar, is demonstrating the unique features of hybrid, seen as the technology of the future, at Qatar Motor Show 2017.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, AAB chairman Dr Nasser Abdulghani said guests at the Toyota booth will get a unique personalised experience of hybrid technology through various activities. The booth, he said, was built under the ‘wave’ concept, which conveys a feeling of dynamic vibrancy.
He said Toyota always strives to introduce various advanced technologies with class-leading performance and excellent fuel efficiency, enhanced refinement, and comfort for passengers.
During the event, AAB highlighted the concept car, Toyota Kikai (or “machine” in Japanese). The Toyota Kikai concept was designed to explore and emphasise the fundamental appeal of machines – their fine craftsmanship, beauty, simplicity, and fascinating motion.
As a true concept car, the Toyota Kikai’s appeal is simultaneously free from and reliant on the core concepts of automobiles. The car aims to highlight elements like beauty, precision, and mechanical workings of a car by literally providing windows on action that’s normally out of view.
The “look and feel” of the Toyota booth also follows the company’s recently-announced brand campaign ‘go share the fun’ with the all-new 2017 Toyota. It captures the sentiments of car owners and encourages them to “explore, excite, and enjoy” with their families while driving Toyota.
“The visitors to our booth can explore more about Toyota’s most popular models – Toyota Yaris, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Sporty Toyota 86, and Toyota Prius, which is the largest selling hybrid model in the world. It’s said ‘Where the road ends, adventure begins’, and this is where Toyota Land Cruiser comes into action and is most popular in Qatar,” Abdulghani pointed out.
Visitors to the Toyota booth can also look at three variants of Toyota Land Cruiser GX, GXR, and top of the range VXS. Also on display is Toyota Fortuner 2017, which was awarded ‘Best Mid-size SUV Middle East Car of the Year’ in the MECOTY 2017 Award.
Abdulghani also said Toyota Motor Corporation awarded the company with the ‘Diamond Award’, ‘Marketing Award for Excellence’, ‘Outstanding Customer Service Excellence Award’, and the ‘Outstanding Customer Service Leadership Award’ for its ‘exceptional performance’ in 2016.
