Ezdan Mall Company, a subsidiary of Ezdan Holding Group, held an array of events and celebrations to mark Ezdan Mall Gharafa’s fourth anniversary, from April 9 to April 15. The occasion was marked by a cake-cutting ceremony held at the main entrance of the mall in the presence of the Group general manager of Ezdan Mall, Ezdan Holding Group representatives, retailers, guests, partners, as well as officials from various ministries and embassies in Doha.
A selfie video contest, titled ‘I Love Ezdan Mall’, was held at two locations within the mall as part of the celebrations.
The participants took video clips in which they congratulated Ezdan Mall on its anniversary and indicated four reasons why they were attracted to the mall.
They then shared the clips on their social media pages with the hashtag #EzdanMall4.
Winners of the contest received Ezdan Mall shopping vouchers and special prizes from mall retailers.
The activities also included interviews by Khalifa al-Haroon, who is also known as Mr Q, with mall guests as well as people at different tourist destinations in Qatar, such as Souq Waqif.
There were questions for the public and gifts were given to the winners who gave the four best reasons for visiting Ezdan Mall.
Malik Awan, general manager of Ezdan Mall, stressed that since its inauguration in 2013, Ezdan Mall Gharafa has contributed to the growth of the country’s retail industry by “stimulating the shopping sector and meeting the needs of shoppers”. He also pointed out Ezdan Mall’s key role in terms of social responsibility, explaining that ‘Green Dream 2022’ is one of the most promising environmental projects carried out by a shopping centre in Qatar with the aim of educating the community about the importance of adopting a greener lifestyle in their everyday lives.
Speaking on ‘Green Dream 2022’, Malik added: “The initiative has witnessed the participation of more than 2,200 students a month from various schools in Qatar, while workshops and awareness lectures have been attended by more than 6,000 students every week.”
