At the West Bay Grounds, Anoop’s three-wicket haul was the highest for any of the Tusker Club bowlers and it played a vital part in limiting Galfar Al Misnad to 302 for six in 45 overs.
Later, Anoop hit a splendid 50 runs, a 53-ball knock that included six fours and enabled Tusker Club to script the victory with three balls to spare.
Earlier, Mohsin’s blazing 82 off 68 balls had five sixes and six boundaries, while Mufeesh also slammed five massive sixes and five hits to the fence to contribute 61 in just 38 deliveries.
Galfar Al Misnad’s Rizlan was their top-scorer. He made 75 in 80 balls, smashing two sixes and five fours. Imran was other major scorer with 67. He cracked three fours and two sixes to post 67.
In the other match, Asad lifted Warrior Club to a dominant 77-run triumph over a strong Qatari Diar side. He and Asif built the base for their team’s 243 in 43.1 overs. Asad’s 66 contained eight fours, while Asif blasted a six and ten fours in his 61-run knock.
Murad, Amitha and Kushal shared nine wickets between them to halt the Qatari Diar chase at 166 in 27.2 overs. Amir’s 49 and Saqlan’s 37 were the highest individual scores for Qatari Diar.
