Doha
A permanent diversion will be in place from Thursday on a 1.2km stretch of the East Industrial Street, located to the south of the Industrial Area. The alternate route is to become the new permanent access to Barwa Al Baraha and the surrounding areas.
South-bound commuters from the East Industrial Street who need to access Barwa Al Baraha are advised to drive directly south from Roundabout 52, and continue along the newly constructed ramp bridge before turning right onto the service road towards Barwa Al Baraha (as shown on the map).
Road users who need to exit Barwa Al Baraha and travel towards Doha are advised to head north on the East Industrial Street and continue along the existing road before turning right at their first exit. This exit will direct road users to a newly constructed loop ramp that will provide direct access towards the Umm Al Seneem area and Doha (as shown on the map).
Ashghal said there would not be any reduction in the number of lanes available on the new route. The diversion is required to enable the completion and connection of a 22km expressway project in Doha’s south.
