Ooredoo has announced that subscribers of OSN Pehla Prime, OSN Gold, OSN Premier and OSN Sports Extra packages on Ooredoo tv can enjoy every match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) exclusively on OSN Sports Cricket HD.
The 2017 season of the Indian Premier League - IPL 10 – continues until May 21, with the final to be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.

Temperature will stay high today: Met department
Another hot day is expected in the country today, the Qatar Met department has said.
The temperature continued rising to above-average levels due to the prevalence of southerly winds, the weather office tweeted yesterday.
While the average maximum temperature in Doha in April is 33C, the city (Doha airport area) recorded a high of 38C yesterday.
The highest temperature yesterday was recorded in Turayna and Batna – 41C – with Sheehaniya, Dukhan and Jumayliya coming next with a maximum of 40C.
The minimum, on the other hand, was 20C in Abu Samra, 21C in Shehaimiya and Ghuwairiya, and 26C in Doha.
Today, a maximum temperature of 39C is expected in Abu Samra, while in Doha it will be 37C. The minimum will be 24C in Abu Samra, Al Khor and Ruwais, and 26C in the capital.
Today’s detailed forecast for inshore areas says it will be hot, and some scattered clouds and slight dust are also expected. Hazy conditions are also likely in offshore areas along with clouds.

2008-2011 Bosch Cooker recalled by ministry of economy
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Modern home, dealer of Bosh products in Qatar, has announced the recall of three 2008-2011 models of Bosch Cooker because the gas connection can develop cracks or breaks in certain circumstances, which can lead to a gas leakage.
The models recalled are HSG342050U, HSG222020Z and HGG24W225M. The devices included in the recall campaign have the model number (E-Nr.) and batch number (FD) on the plate of the appliance.

The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on products affected by defects and repair them.

2,555 new companies registered in March
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) registered 2,555 new companies in March, with 1,729 main registrations, in addition to 826 sub-registrations. According to a report released by the MEC yesterday, companies of limited liabilities represented 64% of the new companies, single owner companies with limited liabilities 24%, and individual corporations 12%.
Contracting companies represented the largest number of the new registrations with 499 new registrations in the field. There were 203 new registrations for restaurants and ready meals outlets, 193 for general items and clothes trade, 178 for building materials, and 163 for cleaning activities.
The overall accomplished transactions in the commercial licenses processed by the MEC in March amounted to 8,387. The figure includes 1,997 new ones, 881 modifications, and 5,509 renewals. The number of closed commercial companies amounted to 452 last month, with 17.6% of these new companies.
Most of the cancelled activities were those of clothes trade and contracting companies, representing 23% of the total cancelled activities. This was followed by eateries, fast foods outlets and vegetable and fruits shops (22%), and electronics and groceries (16%).
The MEC processed 35,571 various related transactions during the same period, with 2,235 of these at the MEC headquarters at Lusail city and 33,336 at the various branches of MEC around the country.
In the field of intellectual property rights, 53 new patents were issued and 133 renewed. There were 3,121 applications for trademarks, and 30 certificates of authors rights were issued during March.

Man jailed for selling drug
A Doha Criminal Court has sentenced a Nepalese man to 20 years in jail with a fine of QR200,000 and ordered his subsequent deportation for dealing in illicit drug, local
daily Arrayah reported.
According to the case file, the defendant offered to sell some hashish to an undercover policeman for QR40,000. Both parties agreed to meet in Najma area for the delivery of drug.
The defendant was arrested while handing over the illicit drug and receiving money. A further search of his vehicle revealed that he had kept 1kg of hashish for trade purposes.
